STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Tyrianna

Tyrianna is a junior in high school in Kansas City. This is her third year in JAG-K, and she has made tremendous strides.

During her freshman year, Tyrianna struggled with her grades and was once suspended for fighting. Last year, Tyrianna made a significant effort to bring her grades up and finish her sophomore year strong, raising her GPA from a 1.75 to a 2.5. She also finished 4th in the Mapping My Future portion of the Regional Career Development Conference last April in Salina.

Due to her hard work and dedication in the classroom, Tyrianna was selected to attend the KCKPS Bioscience Summer Experience where she had the opportunity to do hands-on science activities and lab work and was able to network with healthcare professionals at KU Medical Center.

After high school, Tyrianna wants to attend college and become a medical doctor. She has stepped up and become a leader, not only in JAG-K but also at her school.
