My favorite part of working for JAG-K is the light bulb moments. Watching kids “get it” or “have the light bulb come on" is the pinnacle for teaching. The path after the light bulb moment is when they find the courage to push themselves, the confidence to believe in themselves, and the competency to help others. Our job is to point them to the light switch.

JAG-K gives people a purpose and helps with what students want to do or become in the future. It is just one of those stepping stones that sets you up for success in the end game - the program that will set me up for greatness.

Rachel Hand

Career Specialist, Turner Middle School

I love JAG-K because I get to be a full-time advocate for students. Half of my day is directly working with them in the classroom. The other half is working with teachers, administrators, employers, and others on behalf of my students, or it’s spent working with my kids more one-on-one. Because of their full schedule and caseload, regular classroom teachers don’t get the opportunity to invest in their students at the level I get to, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything!

Region 3 Director

JAG-K gives you an opportunity like no other in that we get to work with students and help turn the potential of today into the success of tomorrow. I feel fortunate to work for an organization that is making such a difference in the lives of our youth all across Kansas every single day!
