Bryan Guzman Shares JAG-K Success Story with Kansas Business Leaders
Bryan Guzman, a junior in the Jobs for America’s Graduates-Kansas (JAG-K) program at Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas was admittedly a little nervous prior to speaking to nearly 50 business leaders from across the state of Kansas. Guzman had no reason to be concerned, as he eloquently described to the Kansas Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors how JAG-K has helped prepare him for employment and improved his academic performance. Guzman’s remarks were part of a presentation to the Kansas Chamber that included the unveiling of JAG-K’s partnership with DreamJobbing, a website of video profiles of JAG-K students and their stories of their “dream” jobs or careers.
It should have been no surprise that Guzman did so well, as he won the JAG-K public speaking competition at the 2016 Leadership Development Conference and qualified for the JAG National Student Leadership Academy in Washington, D.C. in November 2016.
